The film Grace of Monaco was reprimanded after its release and now Nicole Kidman has received an ‘honour’ for her portrayal of the title role. The actor has won the award for ‘Worst Actress’ 2015 for Grace of Monaco at British Academy for Rubbish Films and Terrible Acting (Barfta). The movie which released last year was about the American actor Grace Kelly’s marriage to Prince Rainier III, and it was unfortunately not appreciated by the audience and film critics alike, the Independent reported.
‘Pudsey the Dog: the Movie’ received the ‘Worst British Film’ and was described as a ‘train wreck’, whereas Simon Pegg grabbed the award for ‘Worst Actor’ for Hector and the Search for Happiness. Barfta described the star as “the most puncheable lead in film history,” reported nydailynews.com. Annie won the prize of worst US film for being so sweet “watching it may well induce type two diabetes,” remarked the judges.
In addition to the awardees, there were some actors who made their place in the nomination for their worst performances in films, like David Walliams was shortlisted for ‘Worst Actor’ for voicing the dog in Pudsey the Dog: the Movie, reported Times of India. Special prizes included the ‘Dick van Dyke Award’ for disastrous accent awarded that was honoured to Russell Crowe for his not-so-believable accent in A New York Winter’s Tale.
